Gov. Palin: Let the Light Shine

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Let the Light Shine

Today we learned that our government targeted and harassed conservative Americans who simply wanted to be involved in the national discussion. Is it any wonder why Americans are so distrustful of D.C.? I’m sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night.

So many Americans knew this was happening, but many felt defenseless and even helpless against a government that seems to roll along without accountability or sense of obligation to the people it’s supposed to serve. These Americans were mocked for being concerned about this, but now we see light shining on the truth, finally.

This IRS revelation is another step in the unraveling of the Obama administration’s self-proclaimed “hope and change.” Between the Benghazi cover-up and the IRS targeting Obama’s political opponents, we see the corruption at the heart of big government.

Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare. And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family. Forgive me for not trusting these big government promises any more than I trust the White House’s latest Benghazi spin or the IRS’ fairness.

Despite all of this, I still believe that this “fundamental transformation of America” is temporary. This attempted transformation into a disheartened, weakened, unrecognizable nation is so far below anything Americans deserve. It becomes permanent only if we throw up our hands and surrender to the corruption and cover-ups.

We must demand more light shine on all that’s transpiring in D.C.’s self-absorbed bubble. On the IRS scandal, we must have accountability and a full investigation. On Benghazi, Speaker Boehner must create a Select Committee with full investigative and subpoena authority to get to the bottom of the cover-up. Keep the faith, friends.

Gov. Palin: Obama had better clear this up today

20130501-142942.jpg

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

20130501-134051.jpg

President Barack Obama had better clear this up today, right now. Surely he is just allowing his handlers to throw up this kind of ridiculous, amoral, un-American trial balloon. I call on Obama to address this immediately with the American public, clear it up, and renounce these reports as the nonsense they surely in God's name must be.

@SarahNETRadio, Women Patriots: Gov Palin Knows Her Mind, Not Afraid to Speak it

SarahNET-Radio-O4PStates

This week Sarah Palin was the topic when SarahNET Radio’s Kevin Scholla stopped by Women Patriots on Conservative Radio Network! Hosts Barbara and Brenda talk to Kevin about Governor Palin’s influence on the culture war, her patriotism, her incredible record of accomplishment, and much more.

Woman Who Knows Her Mind and Not Afraid to Speak it

Barbara and Brenda, the hosts of Women Patriots out of North Carolina and Indiana said about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, “I love a woman who knows her mind and isn’t afraid to speak it,” in a 71-minute interview with Kevin Scholla, host of SarahNET Radio earlier this week. Scholla said he admires Gov. Palin because she is unfiltered and honest. He became a supporter months before she ran for Vice President. Gov. Palin and Scholla exchanged emails when she was pregnant with Trig. Scholla’s daughter was due two months after Trig. He discussed the Presidential race in those emails and told Gov. Palin he hoped McCain would pick her as his running mate. When that day came, Scholla went on to campaign for her, and like so many of us, wanted her to run for President in 2012 the night Obama won.

Genesis of SarahNET Radio

Scholla’s professional radio, TV, and writing backgrounds and his partnership with SarahNET.net were the genesis of SarahNET Radio, which was conceived “to give the real news on her,” and counter the steady stream of leftist media drivel. When Gov. Palin announced that she would not run for President on October 5, 2011, many shows had already aired. Scholla’s decision was immediate. The show must go on. “Gov. Palin’s values, ideas, and message” were not going to cease because she did not run in 2012.

Many Men Would Have Caved…

Scholla and the hosts discussed how politics have devolved into a battle to save the Constitution from leftists who want to subvert and destroy it. Scholla said, “Gov. Palin the true epitome of America,” and her enemies are jealous of her successes in all areas of her life. “I do this for my daughter. There is no better role model than Sarah Palin…she takes the shots and does not back down.” He continued, “if you look at the history of what she’s been through and interview her now versus ’06 and ’07, nothing’s changed, except maybe the millions of people who want to stand and have a picture with her.” He added that “many men would have caved.”

Gov. Palin for Everything the Left is Against

Scholla said he’d rather have an honest person disagree with him on nine out of 10 issues than flip-flop, go along to get along, engage in double-talk, and run to political talking points. He said the left hates Gov. Palin because “she is for everything this modern-day Democratic Party is against.” She is “for America, for life, for liberty, for freedom, for the Constitution, for personal responsibility, traditional values, for the Second Amendment.” The left loves RINOs, because they can easily be painted into a box with phony memes and destroyed. Gov. Palin is a polar opposite and offers actual alternatives and solutions.

The left loves to talk about Gov. Palin’s “irrelevancy.” Scholla had written a non-political article about the influence of sports on the Heaths’ lives and on Sarah as a young Heath daughter. It was besieged with comments bashing and insulting Gov. Palin as “a moron.” If she is so irrelevant, why did all these commenters come out of the woodwork?

The Real War on Women

One of the hosts said “the media went after her because they were scared. She is a strong woman. A Republican woman. She is a mother. You want to talk about women’s rights, they don’t want to have that conversation about a woman being appreciated for who she is and not what her body looks like.”

“If you are not a white Protestant male and you are a conservative, they freak out,” Scholla said. Ted Cruz and Ben Carson are experiencing the same thing; Herman Cain, and Mia Love went through it too. The Democratic Party behaves as if it owns you, he said. “When you have a woman who looks like Sarah Palin and has the abilities of Sarah Palin, they freak out,” because she can attract young people, women — that is their core constituency.

He said they don’t merely disagree with you, but “they hate you and go after you in a really weird, visceral way.”

The War on Conservatives

Brenda, Barbara, and Scholla spoke about the left’s attempts to silence conservative media such as Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and others.

Scholla then spoke about Gov. Palin’s ability to pick solid conservatives. While the RINOs were out having dinner with Obama, Palin-backed conservatives were standing with Rand Paul in a filibuster. She’s endorsed people from all different walks of life: ranchers, dentists, veterinarians, “and that’s the way it’s supposed to be,” he said. Obama uses far-left lawyers who may be book smart but have no common sense.

One of the hosts said, “I love Sarah. She tells the truth.” She contrasted Gov. Palin with Hillary Clinton who she described as “a lying sack of crap.” Clinton lied about Benghazi and was ultimately responsible for the deaths of four Americans.

On Obama’s Lack of Emotion for Americans…

Scholla said Obama has no emotion for Americans killed and cited the Boston terrorist attacks and Benghazi as examples. Not mentioned in the interview, but another glaring example would be Chris Kyle, who went forgotten by Obama, but whose funeral Gov. Palin attended, sacrificing her own birthday to do so. Scholla said Obama reads from a teleprompter and always must say ‘not all Muslims are bad, when America’s guts are ripped out’. He said the Democrats win because they’re always on the same page.

Conservatives will hold their noses and vote for a moderate, but moderates won’t support conservatives post-primary. Scholla cited McCain and others going to dinner with Obama, McCain being soft on Obama during the 2008 campaign while Gov. Palin called out his lack of accomplishments, lack of experience and nefarious associations. One of the hosts said Gov. Palin had more experience than Obama.

Liberals Only Care About Control

Scholla said the Democrats and liberals only care about control, not the groups they vociferously claim to protect. “They don’t appreciate what we have” as a country, he said, citing Obama’s apology tour at the beginning of his first term.

RINOs and Media Cling to Power

He spoke about the confluence of the guns and immigration issues as Boston came under attack from foreign terrorists. Scholla lauded Gov. Palin’s uncompromising position on the Second Amendment. He said Gov. Palin’s endorsements in the 2010 and 2012 races and beyond into this year and 2014 will force change in the Republican party. Scholla and the hosts spoke about leftist media reporting of Gov. Palin, how McCain and the establishment RINOs desperately want to hold on to power, how Palin-endorsed candidates such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul focus on the Constitution, while the RINOs insult them and provide only sour grapes.

Scholla recounted how the media has twice covered satires on Gov. Palin as real news stories and how the left is obsessed with “green,” recycling, and earth day, but have a hatred of Christmas, guns, and large sugary drinks. He described how New York City — which wanted to ban the large drinks — is pushing failed students ahead, while good teachers are shackled by school administrations and their own unions. The “union dues go to advertising for Democrat candidates.”

Scholla and the hosts spoke about the leftist hate-fest on Gov. Palin, and men who do not defend her. The hosts spoke about the old “I can see Russia from my house” flap. Russia and Alaska are next to each other and as governor, Sarah Palin was receiving classified briefings. “She cannot have been governor and been stupid,” they said.

Scholla said, “people call her dumb because they have no dirt. Obama is not dumb. He knows exactly what he is doing. He wants to turn us to a European socialist nation.”

Leftist Hypocrisy

Scholla and the hosts spoke about leftist hypocrisy starting with the gaffes of both Quayle and Gore, and how leftists trawl Tea Party rallies looking for one nut to discredit the whole movement. Meanwhile, cities had to clean up huge messes from pro-marijuana and Occupy rallies, the latter being punctuated by rape, vandalism, and violence. They spoke about how the left exploits children to promote gun control following the Sandy Hook horror, but has nothing to say about Kermit Gosnell’s infanticides — snipping the spines of babies born in his botched abortions.

There has been a virtual media blackout on the Gosnell trial. “Gosnell is possibly the biggest serial killer in history,” Scholla said. He is not a doctor and often had his “interns” do the “procedures.” Scholla noted that Obama is a big proponent of partial birth abortion having voted for it numerous times. In the left’s world, it’s okay to post death wishes against Sarah but not Gosnell. We should be harsh on child molesters and murderers, and Scholla cited Gov. Palin’s position on Jerry Sandusky.

Keeping the Grassroots Involved…

The hosts said we need to keep grassroots involved and engaged to avert another catastrophe. Scholla said, “I’ve noticed in our movement, we’re all for a cause or candidate — as long as we’re getting all the credit.” The Left is a machine and gets things done. He said if our elected representatives “see that calls are not coming from us, they assume we’re for what they’re trying to push. You have to speak up and it’s easy to do online, with phone calls,” and so forth.

No More Politicians. We Want Real People….

One of the hosts, Barbara said she makes calls all the time to a North Carolina Senator, and never gets responses. Many others complained about this as well.

Scholla said politicians go to Washington and engage in power grabs. “It’s a cesspool of ‘do what I say and I’ll do this for you.’ You’re supposed to be a public servant — there to serve the people. Palin-endorsed Cruz has been good on all angles. It can be done. There is a lot of pressure there. Many Palin supporters would like to see her do something down the road.” She could run for Senate either in Alaska or Arizona or run for President, “but even if she doesn’t run, she still has that unique way of affecting culture that others do not. How many people have the following, websites, books, that she has?”

Scholla harkened back to Sen. Cruz saying his campaign “phones lit up like Christmas trees” when Gov. Palin endorsed him. The same thing happened with Sen. Fischer. Even for the ones who lost like Steelman, Kirk Adams, “the endorsement got the conversation going.”

The hosts spoke about the Indiana Senate race with Lugar and Mourdock and the Missouri race with Steelman and Akin, and the media traps Akin and Mourdock fell in. They also described how Lugar would not endorse Mourdock. “When conservatives win primary sour grapes come out,” Scholla said. He spoke about the Presidential debates with far left moderators and how it’s best to “call them out, so at least if you lose, you lose swinging.”

The hosts said they “don’t want smooth talking politicians.” Scholla said, “I don’t want a politician. I want a person.” The hosts agreed. No teleprompters, no canned speeches. Real people. But, Scholla noted, “as soon as someone speaks from the heart, they’re painted as ‘not a good politician.’” He said, “Gov. Palin’s real record is of: bi-partisanship, she stood up to big oil, able to work together, and actually produce. You’d be hard pressed to have have this information and believe the false narrative.”

Gov. Palin Running?

The hosts asked Scholla if he thought Gov. Palin is going to run for President in 2016.

“We got so emotionally invested in a possible run in 2012. I was able to take it; she was playing the media, driving the left absolutely bananas. She’s not doing that right now. She’s just doing her thing, and endorsing great candidates, helping potential candidates, calling Obama out for every move he makes. I’m not copping out. I don’t know. One moment, I feel — like when she put that video out — that she will run, and others — when she speaks highly of Rand Paul — I don’t. I know whether she runs or not, she will effect positive change. She will make the right decision one way or or the other, not only for her, but I think for the country, because she comes about decisions the right way — through prayer, common-sense…she is 49 years old. She’ll be there,” he said.

The hosts said “we do need her in the field to get the good people we need to run, then she should run herself.”

@AGUGrizzlies: Use The #Obama BS Removal Kit To Remove #Coexist BS

AGU-O4P

On Friday morning the car that was carjacked by the suspects in the #BostonJihad had the peculiar COEXIST bumper sticker displayed on it.

The bumper sticker is made by the Coexist Foundation who strive to create an understanding across religious divides with a sticker.

The sticker has a peace symbol, a pagan symbol, the yin-yang symbol, the Star of David, a gender symbol, and last (but definitely not least) a cross.

coexist sticker

We are not 100% certain…but perhaps the Obama Bumper Sticker Removal Kit will work on Coexist Bumper Stickers too.

Many people who were embarrassed to drive through their own neighborhood with the Obama Bumper Sticker have bettered their lives by the removal of the Obama BS (bumper sticker).

THE OBAMA BUMPER STICKER REMOVAL KIT

Since the Obama BS Remover even works on the Prius, we have hope that the Obama BS Remover could also work on the meaningless Coexist BS too!

Good luck!

Our work continues.

Stock Act Gutted While we Watched #BostonJihad

AGU-O4P

by Whitney Pitcher

Late last week, with very little coverage and without even an official vote, the Senate and the House repealed a key provision in the already weak STOCK Act that was signed into law last year. As I wrote in a post on Sunday, prior to President Obama’s signing of the bill:

At the end of last week without even a vote, both the House and the Senate approved a repeal of a portion of the STOCK Act. The STOCK Act, signed into law last Spring, is a transparency and ethics law aimed primarily at Congress and their staff. The law requires those individuals to disclose their conflicts of interests (such as stock purchases) and prohibits the use of non-public information for private profit. However, the bill also applies to many higher ranking federal employees as well. With the repeal of the portion of this bill (if signed by the President), two components of transparency will become opaque, as detailed by the Sunshine Foundation (emphasis added):

The bill enacted last year would require already public financial disclosures of senior congressional and executive branch officials to be put online in order to prevent or root out insider trading. There were concerns that some provisions of the bill were overbroad and would put some government employees at risk. Rather than craft narrow exemptions, or even delay implementation until proper protections could be created, the Senate decided instead to exclude legislative and executive staffers from the online disclosure requirements.

The sweeping exemption goes even farther than critics of the disclosure requirements requested. For those to whom online disclosure would still apply (the president, vice president, members of Congress, congressional candidates and individuals subject to Senate confirmation) the Senate bill made electronic filing of the information optional and struck the requirement that online information be searchable, sortable and downloadable, making even the disclosures that remain in the bill tepid and relatively unusable.

President Obama later signed the legislation on Tuesday. Not only did the federal government cloud their already opaque transparency, they did so in an equally non-transparent manner, as Brian Lerch, Illinois AGU volunteer and Conservatives4Palin contributor wrote on Wednesday:

Well, it seems as if the politicos on DC feel the public has forgotten about this and they can go back to their old ways, since they pretty much decided to gut the bill. This was all shoved through in record time, and without any transparency, of course. This is one issue where people on the left and right can come together, as a left-wing website, politicsusa, has a pretty good write-up on this. From the piece:

What could make the House pass something in 30 seconds that the Senate also passed? What would motivate them to put aside their alleged “differences” and act in the best interest of the people? The answer is when they are not acting in the best interest of the people, but rather, in their own best interests.

To that end, late last week, your congress quickly approved a measure that modified (aka, killed) a part of the STOCK Act (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act ), which was only enacted a year ago. The STOCK Act was supposed to address shady stock trades based on insider information.

The bill went from introduction to signing by POTUS very quickly:

4/11/2013 Introduced in Senate

4/11/2013Passed/agreed to in Senate: Introduced in the Senate, read twice, considered, read the third time, and passed without amendment by Unanimous Consent.

4/12/2013 Passed/agreed to in House: On passage Passed without objection.

4/12/2013 Presented to President.

On Tuesday the 15th, the President signed the legislation.

In today’s data-driven, information age, if such government information is not online, it is essentially useless to the American public. How will constituents be able to hold their leaders and their leaders’ staff accountable if such information in not available online? If such online disclosure is merely optional, there is little motivation for politicians to be voluntarily transparent. Why did a bill that received overwhelming support in its passage last year receive unanimous support in its gutting, especially when it was a weak bill to begin with?

The fact that the STOCK Act even got traction at all was due in overwhelming part to the work and research done by Peter Schweizer, Governor Palin’s former advsier. In 2011, Schweizer wrote a book called Throw Them All Out which detailed insider trading, land deals, and other corrupt behaviors exhibited by Congress and their cronies. Many of these details were highlighted in a 60 Minutes special as well. Schweizer’s work lit a fire under Congress enough that they passed legislation requiring themselves to be more transparent.

The STOCK Act, although a start, doesn’t have a lot of bite. When it was being debated in Congress, Governor Palin called it “particularly weak” and was more supportive of a tougher bill proposed by Congressman Sean Duffy that never made it out of committee. That isn’t to say it doesn’t have value. When the STOCK Act passed, Schweizer called it a “victory”, but also noted that the bill didn’t go”nearly far enough to deal with the problems of cronyism and corruption that we face.”

What does Peter Schweizer think now that the STOCK Act has been weakened even further? Schweizer spoke with Dr. Gina Loudon on Friday to share his thoughts on the repeal of key provisions of the bill and the media’s limited coverage of this legislation, which he characterizes as the media being “lapdogs instead of watchdogs”. Please see the interview below:

Our work continues.

Gov. Palin: 100% skewed White House priorities

20130412-120903.jpg

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

100% skewed White House priorities: The Blue Angels' wings get snipped, but the White House party with the 1% rocks on…

20130412-113902.jpg

"I'm so sorry to hear that the Navy Blue Angels and the Airforce Thunderbirds have been forced to cancel their performances this year. These two amazing groups have provided inspiration for millions over the years and have served as a terrific recruiting tool for all branches of the armed services. At least they're still boogying in the White House."

SarahNET Radio: ND State Rep on Life at Conception, Abortion Laws

SarahNET-Radio-O4PStates

North Dakota State Representative Dan Ruby stops by The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla to discuss a measure that could effectively outlaw abortions! Ruby talks to Kevin about the specifics of the legislation as well as other bills that stand up for life. During her speech at the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network’s Award Gala, Sarah Palin said we are gaining momentum in the fight for life. Strides in North Dakota and Kansas prove just that. We’ll look back at Governor Palin’s heartfelt remarks. Mother knows best. Governor Palin showcases a video featuring some astute American moms. Plus, Fisker Automotive’s Karma, an Obama pet project, goes the way of the Edsel, Governor Palin recognizes World Autism Day, and an Alaskan Easter. Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary with Sarah Steelman is featured as well.

Life Begins at Conception…

As Scholla opened the show, he said both Kansas and North Dakota have passed measures stating that human life begins at fertilization. In Ruby’s case, the process began six years ago with an attempt to pass legislation stating that life begins at conception. Now, he is working on it to be included in North Dakota’s state constitution. Its inclusion in the state constitution would not initiate a ban on abortion. The language is “foundational” and builds on existing language in the state Constitution which is similar to the federal Constitution regarding life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As such, the language defining life as beginning at conception would not be stricken as unconstitutional. As the measure is drafted, it will be on the 2014 general election ballot, however, it could be put on the primary ballot by amendment.

Planned Parenthood’s Idea of “Shameful”

As the bill was being debated, Ruby noted that existing North Dakota legislation defines seeds, pits, and buds as plants. “If a seed is a plant, how can an embryo not be a human?” he asked. Scholla noted that Planned Parenthood railed against the measure calling it “a shameful day in North Dakota.” He asked, “what does that say about Planned Parenthood that they would call protecting life ‘shameful’”?

“So much of what they stand for is shameful. I can’t believe the positions that they take and the things they are willing to defend,” Ruby said. He continued, “I think a lot of it is under false pretenses. When we push legislation, we hear the most extreme cases.” Ruby said abortions for rape or incest are rare; the vast majority are for birth control or convenience. “I don’t think we have the right to play God like that and determine that lives are expendable, because they’re inconvenient for us,” he said.

Heartbeat, Fetal Pain, Admitting Privileges Bills

Scholla asked if heartbeat and progression of pregnancy come into play, along with a fertilized egg being a legal person. Ruby answered, “They’re different bills. The heartbeat bill is a bill that puts language in our Century Code — our Book of Laws — that would ban abortion once a heartbeat can be recognized….there’s also a bill that deals with fetal pain, and I believe that’s at around the 20-week range. Of course, that is left somewhat open as to when that can be determined.” Ruby said a heartbeat can be determined at between 14 and 16 weeks. Another bill requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges with a hospital.

“It was a pretty good year for North Dakota, the unborn, and the pro-life movement,” Ruby said. The heartbeat and admitting privileges bills were signed. The constitutional language does not require the governor’s signature. The fetal pain bill was sent back to the state Senate because it has an amendment and could go to a conference committee.

Gov. Palin a Pro-Life Warrior

Ruby has gotten more support than backlash on the bills. He said people have gone after other legislators more so than him, targeting particularly pro-life women in the legislature. Scholla noted Gov. Palin’s pro-life record and asked Ruby what he thinks of her pro-life stance, adding, “she’s been a warrior.”

“Yes, she has, and I’ve always appreciated that about her,” Ruby said. He continued, “I admired her for taking that on at the national stage. I don’t think she is out of the mainstream on that. I think that she says what I think the majority of Americans believe and I really appreciate what she does for the cause.”

Conservative Successes in North Dakota and Kansas

Scholla said a lot of other good conservative initiatives are taking hold in North Dakota. Ruby said the state has a surplus, the oil industry strong, people are moving to the state to work, and wages are rising. He said the recession in many other states have gone largely unnoticed in North Dakota. The state’s worker’s compensation and unemployment funds are solvent, and budgets are balanced.

Scholla reported that Kansas has followed North Dakota’s lead. Legislation has passed the Kansas House and Senate defining life as beginning at conception, prohibiting abortion clinic employees from providing sex education in schools, banning tax credits for abortion services, and requiring abortion clinics to give details to women about fetal development and abortion health risks. It also outlaws gender-based abortion. The strongly pro-life governor Sam Brownback will more than likely sign it into law.

Steel Resolve: The Greatest Tragedy of Obama’s “Politics of Hope”

“‘In the end that’s what this election is about: did we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope?’ Guess who said that? You guessed it: Barack Obama,” Sarah Steelman said as she opened her Steel Resolve segment.

“Most of us understand what the politics of cynicism is, but what the heck is the politics of hope? One thing is for sure: there is no hope in the jobless numbers released this last Friday. Only 88,000 jobs were added to the economy this quarter. Many economists blame the rise in the payroll tax which hit consumers’ wallets. It is also important to note that the job participation rate is the lowest it has been since 1979. None of this is surprising to those of us who know anything about economics.”

“President Obama continues to argue for more government benefits and more regulations, despite the writing on the wall, or in this case, the statistics that his big government, big spending policies are not working. What is even worse is the human toll that is hidden in the job statistics. Those who remain unemployed or who drop out of the workforce suffer more than just lost wages or income. It is demoralizing and hopeless for many of our fellow citizens who cannot find work to take care of their families. This is greatest tragedy of Obama’s ‘politics of hope,’” Steelman concluded.

Gov Palin: Once again, American public lost when Obama Admin Picked Market Winners, Losers

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Once again, the American public lost when the Obama administration attempted to pick “winners and losers” in the free market. Today the electric car company Fisker Automotive, which received nearly $200 million in taxpayer money, is laying off three-fourths of its U.S. workers.

The Anaheim, CA-based start up has failed at pretty much every level – especially when it comes to the company’s ultra expensive luxury electric hybrid, the Karma (what a name!), which is assembled in Finland and received a green-energy loan to transition the assembly to the U.S., something that never happened.

This losing tax-subsidized venture joins other past losers like the Obama-subsidized Volt that gets 40 miles per battery charge, or like the Obama-subsidized Tesla that turns into a “brick” when the battery completely discharges and then costs $40,000 to repair.

This is really just the latest manifestation of the administration’s crony capitalism as their green energy buddies benefit from this atrocious waste of taxpayer money. Americans really need to get outraged by these wasteful ventures. As we’ve seen time and time again, We the People are always stuck subsidizing the left’s “losers.”

So what’s the solution and where do Americans go with our outrage? Stand up against the crony capitalism and elect only those who understand and will let America’s marketplace dictate economic successes, instead of letting politicians (some who have never run any business nor even worked in the private sector) choose free enterprises’ winners and losers. Take a stand, friends. Nothing will change unless you do.

Higher gas prices, more carbon emissions – to reduce carbon emissions

SarahNET Radio: Could MO’s Mr. Smith Go to Washington?

SarahNET-Radio-O4PStates

Jason Smith stops by The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla! The Missouri House of Representatives Pro-Tem has shown us the Liberty Pose and now he looks to show the Show Me State that he’s ready for Washington. Hear about Smith’s run for Congress in a special election, plus his thoughts on Sarah Palin and Sarah Steelman. Smith talks about striking the Liberty Pose and discusses the issues including farming, the budget, abortion, and more. A new site highlights the Liberty Pose, while a Palin hashtag ruffles Tucker Carlson’s bow tie. Governor Palin comments on the lack of a budget, the deaths of Marines in a training exercise and Harry Reid’s despicable response to it, and Obama’s visit to Israel. We’re getting ready for three high profile Palin speeches including her keynote at the Terri Schiavo gala. Also, a big happy birthday to Piper Palin! Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary with Sarah Steelman is featured as well.

#PalinLibertyPose, #SarahPalinDoes

Jason Smith is the first candidate or elected official to strike the #PalinLibertyPose. “We can’t have enough freedom. That’s for sure,” he said. All the #PalinLibertyPoses are being gathered at http://libertypose.com, which is functioning as a central repository for them. The site is “about standing up and showing patriotic spirit,” Scholla said. Copies of Our Sarah: Made in Alaska and Going Rogue are being given away in a contest on the site. The #SarahPalinDoes hashtag also trended much during the week — a response to Tucker Carlson’s “I don’t know what Sarah Palin does” slam.

Scholla said many Republicans feel threatened by Gov. Palin and won’t share a stage with her or invite her to conventions. He lauded Smith for standing with her by doing the #PalinLibertyPose. “You have to stand strong and solid for fellow conservatives,” Smith said.

How Smith Got the Nomination

Smith is running in a special election for MO-8, because the incumbent is stepping down. He was among 27 people who expressed interest in the party’s nomination. Some 86 people — the chairs and vice chairs of all 30 counties; and the chairs and vice chairs of all the legislative districts with the district — all had a say. Smith was the underdog and drove over 10,000 miles visiting committee members in barns, homes, and coffee shops delivering a message of, “personal liberty, limited government, and freedom.”

Sarah Steelman who lives in Smiths’s district supports his run and is a good friend. He’s known her family for years. Scholla said Steelman was so excited that Smith got the nomination it was as if she had gotten it herself. Smith had fought for Steelman during her prior runs and admires her standing up for conservative principles.

Smith on Farming, Budget, Abortion, Regulations

Farming is very important in Smith’s district which grows everything except citrus fruits and sugar. He hails from a small town of 5,000 and said we need more small town values in Washington, DC.

Smith said our nation has not balanced a budget for 51 out of the past 56 years and has not passed one at all in over fours now. Missouri laws require a balanced budget and we should do the same common-sense thing in Washington, he said.

He has served eight years in the Missouri House, is proudly pro-life to the core and said he will not “evolve his position” if elected.

The special election is on June 4. His campaign visited 27 out of the state’s 30 counties last week. This is Smiths’s second special election, his first being to the Missouri House in 2005. He said these elections are “about finding your supporters and getting them to the polls.” GOTV makes or breaks special elections.

Smith said we are over-regulated with over 170,000 rules and regulations on the books. Further if Obama does not get his way via Congress, federal agencies just start making regulations usurping all three branches of government.

In lighter news, Smith busted all his brackets in the first round.

Steel Resolve: ObamaCare and Profitable Non-Profits Cause of High Health Care Costs

Sarah Steelman said, as she opened this week’s segment, “This week, we got confirmation that our health insurance premiums will be going up — for some individual consumers as much as 116% and for small businesses somewhere between 25% and 50%. Insurance companies reported that the increase was due to changes in the law from ObamaCare and due to medical costs going up.”

She continued,

“We all knew that ObamaCare would force premium increases. But what about the ‘all other medical costs’ that keep going up? There’s no question that advances in medical treatment are nothing short of miraculous, however, many non-profit hospitals are making tremendous profits. Time Magazine recently did an exposé on non-profit hospitals and found no rationale for setting hospital charges. That’s why no one ever knows what anything costs if you ask them and coincidentally, that’s why they’re making huge profits.”

“In fact, the report states that the profit margin of these huge non-profit hospitals is feeding the problem by enabling them to gobble up physicians’ practices and smaller hospitals in the areas [they serve] leaving patients with fewer choices and insurers with less power to negotiate prices not to mention the six- and seven-figure salaries top hospital executives are being paid. There needs to be healthcare reform and Congress is not going to repeal ObamaCare. They should start looking at why hospitals are raking in the bucks.
